Designed as a grape cluster, the grapes composed of cabochon star sapphires, the leaves composed of carved emeralds, accented with round and old European-cut diamonds, signed Seaman Schepps.

Condition

In good overall condition, the mounting with a fair number of surface scratches and wear commensurate with age. Some solder visible to the reverse side. Mounting tests as platinum and 18 karat gold. The sapphires measuring from approximately 16.0 x 12.0 x 8.0 mm to 9.7 x 7.6 x 3.5 mm, are of various tones of medium light to light blue, with faint to strong asterism, inclusions predominantly visible to the reverse of the cabochons, one with a significant chip visible on the reverse side. The carved emeralds are medium to medium light very slightly bluish green to slightly yellowish green, moderately to strongly included, several with dark mineral inclusions; one emerald is a drilled bead. The diamonds, weighing a total of approximately 1.30 carats, are approximately G-J color, VS-SI clarity, with a few I clarity examples. Length approximately 3¼ x 2⅜ inches.
