EMERALD, NATURAL PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, ALEXANDRE REZA, FRANCE

The detachable pendant centering a carved emerald measuring approximately 22.1 x 16.9 x 4.7 mm, within an openwork gold frame highlighted with round diamonds, on a triple-strand of natural pearls measuring from approximately 5.60 to 3.50 mm, spaced by beaded gold rondelles, completed by a round diamond-set floral clasp, length 14 inches, signed A. Reza, with French assay and maker's marks.

In good condition with minor scratching to the metal commensurate with wear. The pendant reverse inscribed E 18.02 and B 2.81, referring to the estimated emerald and diamond weights, necklace clasp inscribed B. 0.40. The pendant and clasps stamped OR 750 for 18 karat gold. The carved emerald is a deep very slightly bluish green, heavily included. The near-round ivory to light gray pearls with soft to moderate rose, green and aubergine overtones, with good to very good luster and some minor blemishes, a few with minor ringing, not noticeable when worn. The accenting diamonds estimated to weigh 2.75 carats, are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity, a few with surface abrasions where prongs are set, noticeable only under close inspection. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 82355 dated November 2, 2015 stating that the pearls are natural, saltwater. The pendant fitted with a bail and is detachable for alternate wear. The necklace fitted with safety closure.
