Of pendent design, the surmount modelled as a bow applied with red, white and pink enamel, suspending a freeform bead of pink tourmaline, to a Chinese openwork carving in lapis lazuli of a bird alighting on a fruiting branch of peaches, surmount with maker's mark for Carlo & Arthur Giuliano, fitted case stamped Giuliano.

Condition

Signed C&AG under brooch pin hinge for Carlo and Arthur Giuliano. Pendant unsigned. Small areas of loss to enamel. Tourmaline bead with surface-reaching inclusions. Lapis carving with some minor chips and losses to extremities. Overall length approximately 85mm, gross weight approximately 16.4 grams. Fitted case stamped C&A Giuliano, 115 Piccadilly, London.
