- 145 x 81 x 86 cm.
the rectangular trunk with overhanging cover and elaborate copper gilt fittings and handles, decorated in gold hiramaki-e on a black ground with numerous mon and various inscriptions, paper lining to interior
Condition
- This large trunk is overall in good condition as can been seen in the illustration. - There is an area of lacquer restoration to the base of the trunk beside the gold fitting. - There are also slight chips to the edges around the base. - There is rubbing to the lacquer of the inside edge consistent with the cover being taken on and off. - The gilt fittings, some have been polished and some with added lacquer.
