Overall in very good original condition. The wooden surfaces present with very minor scattered scuffs, scratches and shallow indentations concentrated to the top surfaces and bases of the legs. The glass and mirrored glass appears to be original and presents with only minor scattered oxidation. A finely executed work in the manner of Godwin that presents in remarkable condition overall.

This cabinet is stylistically similar to a series of cabinets designed by Godwin for Collinson & Lock circa 1873, a corner cabinet of which was exhibited at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1878. At the time, Godwin was retained by Collinson & Lock to produce furniture exclusively for them.
