Condition

The panel appears sounds and is providing a stable support. There is a small areas of craquelure extending from the upper left hand framing edge. Some surface dirt. Otherwise the work appreas to be in good overall condition. UV light inspection reveals some flecked retouchings throughout, notably to the trees and the lower left hand foreground. Sensitively executed. Held in a decorative gilf frame.

This is a smaller version of Linnell's Royal Academy exhibit of 1827 which belonged to William Powell Frith. It is a view at Collins Farm, the Linnell family home from 1824 to 1828.
