Condition

Unexamined out of frame. There is one prominent area of lifting in the paint to the right of the central balloon. There are a small number of historic losses predominantly at the centre of the left edge, in the signage and the left hand balloon. There are minor nicks and scuffs to extreme edges, with a few associated tiny flecks of loss. There is some minor surface dirt and detritus. This excepting the work appears to be in good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is float mounted and held behind glass in a simple wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
