The present model was part of a series of tables originally designed for the interiors of Foster Associates studio located in Great Portland Street. It was later adapted for use in the Foster designed Renault Distribution Centre in Swindon. The framework the table echoes that of the building with its angular forms and multiple holes descending in size. Production later was licensed to Tecno in 1985, the model renamed as 'Nomos' and with minor modifcations to allow for large scale production.
