Condition

The board appears to be sound. There is some frame abrasion to the extreme edges, with a few associated losses. Some of the impasto tips may be flattened in places. There is a small scuff to the foot of figure in the lower right quadrant. There is light surface dirt and some instances of studio matter and detritus. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is held within a simple wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
