The canvasboard appears to be sound. There are some very fine lines of craquelure scattered throughout the work, however these all appear to be stable. There is some rubbing to the extreme edges of the canvasboard. There are some extremely minor flecks of loss to some of the raised areas of impasto in the sky and foliage, only visible upon very close inspection. There is surface dirt and some instances of studio matter. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is held behind glass in a carved wooden frame.
