Condition

With old marks and scratches throughout. The leather, which appears original, with ring marks, scuffed from use. Chip to one drawer front.

James Lamb (1816-1903) founded a cabinet making workshop in Manchester that flourished during the boom years of the Industrial Revolution. Principally associated with the Aesthetic Movement, Lamb worked in association with several prominent designers of the period including Alfred Waterhouse and Charles Bevan.
