chiselled with entrelacs, flutes, laurel garlands and acanthus leaves, the blue-enamelled medallion adorned with brilliants forming the cypher MA, the stem applied with fleurs-de-lys shape brilliants, on a tripod base with claw feet and pedestal
Condition
The photograph is quite accurate. Good overall condition. As expected the gilding is slightly rubbed on the flat surfaces. Some oxidation to the gilt-bronzes, especially inside the flutes. Very few brilliants are missing. This magnificent vase with its exquisite chasing and lavish decoration is a wonderful example of Viennese goldsmiths and bronziers craftsmanship.
