  • Haut. 79 cm, larg. 119,5 cm, prof. 65 cm ; height 31 in., width 46 3/4 in., depth 25 2/3 in.
adorned with marquetry in the style of Bérain, opening with three drawers

Condition

The photograph is quite accurate. As expected some patched pieces of tortoiseshell replaced by tinted horn. The engraving on the brass marquetry is worn in places. Some lifts to brass elements, especially on corners and sides. A shrinkage crack on the right side of the top (20 cm long) has slightly damaged the marquetry. The gilding of the bronzes probably refreshed. Nice piece of furniture which would need a slight restoration of the marquetry.
