Condition

The photograph is quite accurate. As said, they were probably regilt. There are some inevitable chips to the giltwood on the most exposed areas, especially on the feet, and some wear on the lion heads for example. The structure is sound and sturdy: it was strengthened by wooden blocks under the seatrails. Old traces of woodworm damages (not active any more). Some marks on velvet covers. Very fine carving, beautiful Roman model.
