Launched in 2004, A. Lange & Söhne introduced the first flyback chronograph wristwatch with double rattrapante mechanism and jumping minute chrongorpah counter in 2004. Double Split Flyback is truly the most iconic of Double Splits. Rattrapante means split second in French. The watch features four chronograph hands and more impressive than that is both chronograph hands and both rattrapante hands are with flyback function. The Double Split allows the user to measure and compare time intervals of up to 30 minutes, as opposed to a maximum of only 60 seconds, which distinguishes it from other split seconds chronographs. The most breathtaking feature of all is arguably to the reverse, a sapphire display back reveals the masterpiece calibre L001.1, the Double Split's mind-boggling multi dimensional movement composed of 465 parts. The double jumping chronograph minute counter provides the precise and error-less reading for the user. The elevation of the bridges render the movement closer to a fine sculpture or a geological strata. Double split Flyback is produced in pink gold and platinum version until 2011.
