Condition

Overall in very good condition. This lamp is outfitted with a particularly elegant and unusual set of decorated blown glass shades, which display deeply ruffled lower borders, underscoring the naturalistic quality of the lamp. The shades are decorated with a finely articulated green and gold pulled-feather motif over opalescent white glass, which displays strong iridescence. The shades with some scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions and minute surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually distracting. One shade with a crimped bottom edge. The upper rims of the shades with some occasional extremely minor flecks, consistent with age and handling. The upper shoulders of the shades with some light surface scratches due to contact with the shade fitter, consistent with age and use and not visible when the shades are installed. The base displays a rich brown patina. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, light wear to the patina, and some traces of light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design, consistent with age and gentle use. With period sockets and the original base switch. An extraordinarily elegant and naturalistic table lamp displaying very refined proportions.
