Condition
Good overall condition. The gilt bronze snake presents with some scattered minute oxidation and with some vert-de-gris stains concentrated to the recessed areas. Instances of oxidation and vert-de-gris more significant on the floor base, as visible in the catalogue illustration. The gilt bronze presents with a few light remnants of polish and some tiny adhesive tape remnants on the lower part. The glass shade presents with surface dirt and surface soiling. The bronze ring around the (newer) switch is missing. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
