Fair overall condition. The set has been previously re-varnished and the later varnish is thick. The chairs presents with some scratches and scuffs, most of them appear to be superficial and limited to the thick varnish. The wood presents with scattered minute to small dents, all consistent with age and use, and with a few rare vravks, inherent to the aging process of the material. The set has been previously restored : some cracks have been stabilized, and the seams of the backrest have been re-inforced. The proper left back leg of one armchair has been broken and restored. The bronze feet present with some wear and tarnishing, consistent with age and use. This set would benefit from the care of a professional restorer.
