This work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. Along the edges, several chips and small losses of paint have been carefully restored, most notably along the right edge in the lower right corner and in the upper left corner. Two small losses along the lower edge and near the signature have been carefully inpainted. Further close inspection reveals scattered uplifts in the composition, most notably along the upper and lower edges, which have been stabilized. Drying cracks are visible in the black paint. Webs of superficial cracks are visible in the thicker impastos. Under UV light inspection, these careful restorations fluoresce.
