“Kanye and I would sit around and think up ideas. He would say ‘What about me as Superman, or riding my bike when I was a kid?’ I made drawings on the spot. ‘What about a monster?’ We would laugh, and it would be a sketch...One day I’ll show all of the drawings and paintings together.” George Condo

The present work was used as the artwork for Cold, the 2012 album released by the 21-time Grammy award winning musician Kanye West. Condo and West began their artistic collaboration in 2010 when Condo created the notoriously famous artwork for West’s critically acclaimed album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The two artists are celebrated for their distinctively radical styles within their respective creative disciplines, and for their outrageous yet ingenious approaches to painting and music.
