This work is in very good condition overall. The sheet is laid down on canvas, and the edges of the canvas are taped. There is evidence of faint oil staining surrounding various passages of paint, where the oil from the pigment has seeped into the paper. This is a natural migration process for oil on paper. There is faint discoloration along the extreme edges of the sheet from where it has been adhered to the canvas. Along the bottom edge, there is a very small tear located 6.6 inches from the lower right corner and a possible pinpoint loss located 13.5 inches from the lower right corner. Within the thickest passages of red paint, there is stable hairline cracking visible only under close inspection and raking light. Framed under Plexiglas.
