Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals a tiny loss to the centre left of the extreme upper edge and a pattern of craquelure in places throughout, most notably to the areas of thicker impasto. Extremely close inspection reveals some minute losses to some impasto peaks. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals some tiny spots of inpainting in isolated places throughout.
