Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although it fails to show the colours in the video. Condition: This work is in very good condition and in full working order. Close inspection reveals some nicks, chips, scratches and media accretions in places throughout. All surface irregularities are in keeping with the artist's choice of medium. Further very close inspection reveals a superficial layer of dust that has adhered to the surface of the work.

“My first friends were Fluxus people, who were always anti-something – antimusic, antiart, and anti-Stockhausen, et cetera. But the new video generation were pro-something- “constructing” a new society with the new tool of video” (Nam June Paik in conversation with David Ross, in: Toni Stoos and Thomas Kellein, Eds., Nam June Paik: Video Time – Video Space, New York 1993, p. 57).
