Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals some superficial scuffs and scratches in isolated places throughout and two horizontal stretcher bar marks along the upper and lower edges. Close inspection reveals some rub marks with associated specks of loss to all four extreme edges, some signs of historic framing and some fine drying cracks to the areas of thicker impasto. Further close inspection reveals some splash and media accretions in places throughout and a small speck of loss to the green pigment to the centre right of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
