描述

  • Haut. 63,5 cm, 24 3/4  in.
the pear-shaped body rising from a short foot to a tall neck set with a pair of elephant-mask handles decorated with a continuous court scene on a terrace, scholar and attendant crossing bridges

Condition

The vase is leaning to one side. There are scratches to the surface, some tiny losses to the raised parts and on the rims. There is a tiny hole under one elephant handle. This vase used to be a lamp and the foot of the vase is still cover with a brownish texture (certainly serving originally to maintain the vase to the bronze mount).
