Condition

-Composition painted on thick paper. -Mount in good condition, no crease, no tear. -Humidity stains visible on the back, but apart from the lower right part, they do not prevent the reading of the composition. -The watercolour kept all its freshness.

This lane still exists in the park (see photography on the opposite page). Auguste Allongé frequently painted views in watercolor of the Fontainebleau forest and of Brittany. His charcoals and watercolors were very popular. He certainly went to Martinvast in 1887 as a watercolor located Martinvast was exhibited in the Paris Salon in 1887.
