Good overall condition. The wool presents with some discolouration throughout, visible in the catalogue illustration. There are instances of fraying, some pulled threads and a few minute losses of wool scattered, all consistent with age and use. There are some creases on the tapestry, including a larger one on the middle (visible in the catalogue illustration) and along the lower edge (visible in the catalogue illustration), inherent to the hanging. The back of the tapestry presents with a lining that has not been removed for condition checking, preventing us from detecting previous restorations.
