Condition
The panel is sound and is laid down on panel. There is an old milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light appears to reveal two vertical lines of intermittent retouching with associated craquelure, visible to the naked eye, running across the right and left parts of the composition. There are additional dots of retouching in places, most predominately in the background in the upper part of the composition. There is some minor frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
