Very good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. A stabilised crack to the rear. Exceptional deep and thick dark patina.

Caractérisé par la délicatesse de ses modelés et le parfait équilibre de ses traits, cet étrier de poulie s’affirme par sa très belle patine brune, profonde et brillante. La belle opposition entre les courbes des cornes et celles du visage l’apparente étroitement à la poulie de l’ancienne Collection Harold et Florence Rome (Sotheby’s, New York, 11 mai 2012, n° 141) et à celle acquise par Hans Himmelheber au début du siècle (Sotheby’s, New York, 16 mai 2013, n° 88).
