Daniel Cordier, Paris Acquired from the above by the present owners
I am surprised when I hear people criticizing his works as morbid. Don't they reveal the reality around us that we do not dare to look at, shameful that we are of our health, comfort, and indifference?
This work was inspected framed and the edges are covered by the frame. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. Wear marks are located in the upper right corner. Hairline cracks are visible on the impastos located in the upper half of the work. The canvas is slightly wavy in the upper left corner.
