- Le Jaloux, comédie en cinq actes et en vers libres. Paris, chez la veuve Duchesne, 1785.
In-8 (192 x 122 mm). Maroquin rouge à dentelle, dos lisse orné de fers dorés, doublure et gardes de tabis bleu, roulette intérieure, tranches dorées (Reliure de l’époque). Emboîtage du début du XXe de maroquin brun.Mouillure affectant les feuillets de garde. Discrètes restaurations aux coins supérieurs. Emboîtage un peu fendu. Rare édition originale illustrée d’un bandeau et de culs-de-lampe gravés sur bois. Auteur dramatique, Marc-Antoine Rochon de Chabannes (1730-1800) est l’auteur d’opéras comiques, de comédies et de pièces parues dans l’Almanach des muses. Le Jaloux fut représenté pour la première fois au Théâtre français le 11 mars 1784. Ravissant exemplaire de l’auteur, sur papier de Hollande, très élégamment relié à ses armes, probablement par Derome. Provenance : Robert Hoe (ex-libris ; I, 24 avril 1911, n° 2793, la reliure est donnée à Derome). – Alfred Nathan (ex-libris). – Hans Furstenberg (ex-libris). – Boivin (cachet humide sur le titre).
