Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1976 Talence (Pessac-Léognan), Grand Cru Classéu. 4bn, 4vts, 2ts, labels bin soiled, 2 slightly scuffedIn 2017, incredibly aromatic, spice and tobacco nose, with a whiff of sage and chocolate. A marvellous impact on the palate, pure classy flavour, with finesse of texture and such freshness - so that is why I did not get the year (hot!), but was in the decade. Carries on with this cedary, sweet, succulent taste, enticing to the end - which came too soon.
