Condition

The larger with pile generally good, evenly approx 1-2mm with some minor wear to knot bars and foundation visible, mainly in teh whites. The lower left hand corner outer guard appears to have been rebuilt approx 40cm up the outside edge and along the lower edge with the banded guard probably reconstructed, upper end appears original. Some repiling to the brown ground in the minor diced guard stripes throughout - well executed. In sound and ready to use condition, although might benefit from a light clean. The second with pile generally fair, 1-2mm and with some minor wear to knot bars scattered thoughout and with some areas of repiling, visible as paler red in image. Some of the yellow is also repiled. the ends appear original, the side cords have been rebound - now sound and ready to use. Unusual to find two rugs of this type as a pair, interesting in a wide corridor or laid side by side.
