  • height of taller 4 1/4 in.; 10.8 cm
comprising: a typical Raku-form tea bowl, the base impressed with the seal Raku (of Seinyu, 13th generation master, 1888-1944); and a bowl of narrow cylindrical form covered in a black glaze with splashes of red and incised with a pine grove and a poem, signed Kenzan. 2 pieces.

Condition

The taller bowl is in overall good condition with only minor expected wear. The shorter bowl has a small chip to the rim, a U-shaped section out and re-stuck (approx. 3 x 6 cm) with an associated crack, and a Y-shaped crack from the rim (length approx. 5.7 cm); the base painted in red with the Rockefeller inventory number 11-89.
