Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces present with some very minor faint surface scratches and scattered minor abrasions throughout, consistent with gentle use. The upper edge of one armrest with a very minor chip to the veneer measuring approximately 1/4 inch wide. The upholstery presents with some very minor loose threads and occasional areas of faint discoloration, consistent with age and gentle use. They cushions have been professionally and sensitively reupholstered in accordance with Ruhlmann's original design of a beautiful intricate swirl pattern. The gilt bronze feet with minor oxidation and minor surface scratches, abrasions, and light wear throughout, consistent with age and use. A particularly elegant example Ruhlmann's genius melding of of luxury materials like amboyna burl and fine Macassar ebony.
