Overall in good condition. The silk upholstery with a few areas of light staining and minor residue, mainly concentrated on the backrest and armrests, and with some occasional minor loose threads. The front edge of one of the cushions with some wear and minor fraying along the seam. The wood surfaces with scattered light surface scratches, abrasions, light wear, discolorations, and some hairline separation at the seams, consistent with age and use. Gilt front feet present with some light wear, surface scratches, minor abrasions, loss of gilt paint and slight darkening of gilt in other areas, only visible upon close inspection. A magnificent pair of chairs showcasing Ruhlmann's use of sinuous lines and luxurious materials.
