Condition

Overall in very good condition. The silvered surfaces and the glass present with some scattered light surface scratches and minor rubbing, consistent with age and gentle handling. The patinated iron surfaces with some light surface scratches, rubbing and minor discoloration to the patina, especially concentrated on the reverse, consistent with age and gentle handling. The dial surfaces present with some darkening consistent with the material over time. The door on the face of the clock is slightly loose whereas the back door does not open. The marble base is original and presents with minor surface soiling and some occasional small chips concentrated on the edges of the base, not visually distracting. The mantle clock features a beautiful and rare plaque depicting a stylized reclining female nude.
