Condition
Overall in very good condition. The glazed surfaces display a rich cobalt blue hue and present with minor surface irregularities, inherent in the design and the production of the piece as according to the artist herself. The glazed surfaces with very few minute and occasional chips, consistent with age and gentle handling. When inspected under UV light, the foot of the lamp presents a minor area of fluorescence, most likely indicating a possible restoration. The shade is replaced and presents in excellent condition. The present lamp depicts a classic Suzanne Ramie shape and is a superb example of her modernist body of work. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
