Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The cabinet opens by four folding doors and is divided into two compartments (lacking shelves). The proper left door is slightly misaligned by approximately 1/4 of an inch when installed; the door adjacent is missing one screw on the upper edge, which does not affect functionality. The metal surfaces with occasional minor surface scratches, abrasions, light wear, and with some occasional very minor traces of white paint, consistent with age and use. The painted steel with some occasional minor losses to the painted surfaces, not visually distracting and consistent with age and use. The middle section between the two cabinet compartments with some flaking and loss to the painted surface, visible in the catalogue illustration. The cabinet doors with some traces of light surface soiling to the recessed areas. The cabinet rests on original steel base and is accompanied by an original slate top that installs on the top of the cabinet. The slate top presents with some occasional minor surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use. The present credenza is a wonderful example of Paul Evans exquisite sculptural craftsmanship.
