Condition

Overall in very good condition. The metal surfaces with some occasional light surface scratches and minor discolorations, consistent with age and gentle handling. One of the cattails with a minor dent, not visually distracting and consistent with age and handling. A few rods display very slight and gentle bending, not visually distracting. The cattail tops display a warm golden hue and present with some oxidation to the lower portions. The base presents with some light surface soiling and discoloration concentrated to the area of the rods. The base with light soiling and discoloration concentrated to the central area with the rods, consistent with the material over time and common in these works. A beautiful example of Harry Bertoia's sound sculptures with nice scale.
