Condition

Overall in very good condition. This impressive suite of windows appears to retain all of its original glass and cames. The glass with minor surface soiling throughout particularly concentrated to the edges, consistent with age. The edges of the glass panels with occasional minor traces of paint from the interior green-painted moldings. The cames with traces of scattered surface oxidation and discolorations, consistent with age. The original wood frames show expected age, with scattered losses, abrasions and surface wear throughout. On the exterior side of each panel, the painted surfaces display minor crackling, lifting and scattered losses consistent with age and exposure to the outer elements. When inspecting the painted surfaces closely, it appears there are at least two layers of paint that have been applied over time. A rare and important set of Frank Lloyd's Wright early Prairie light screens from one of his most famous commissions.
