Condition

Overall in very good condition. The pewter surfaces present with very minor scattered nicks and scratches, in keeping with age and gentle use. The pewter with minor areas of oxidation throughout, mainly concentrated to the decorative elements, consistent with age and not visually distracting. The enamel on the clock face presents with some minor loss, mainly concentrated to the roman numerals and visible upon close inspection. Areas of scattered scuffing and wear concentrated to areas around the knob on back door, in keeping with age and gentle use. Scattered scratches on the underside of clock, not noticeable when clock is upright. A rare clock with exquisitely rendered decorative elements and fine enamelwork. Functionality of the movement is not guaranteed and it could need service at the buyer's discretion.
