Condition

The sculpture appears sound. There is some pitting to the sphere in the centre of the sculpture and some further smaller areas of pitting to the horse. There are also a number of scratches to the horses and to the sphere, in keeping with the Artist's intentions, with further more minor instances elsewhere. There is some slight rounding to the extreme corners of the cube and rectangular shapes. There are small flecks of oxidisation throughout the sculpture, most visible around the feet of each figure. There is some light rubbing to the geometrical shapes and casting residue in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. The sculpture has an Artist's integral bronze base. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
