Condition
The canvas is unlined and providing a stable structural support. The paint surface is clean and there are no signs of craquelure or other condition issues. The picture is ready to hang. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT The varnish appears opaque and uneven but there are no obvious signs of retouching. FRAME The picture is contained in a moulded plaster Victorian-style gilt frame.
