拍品資料及來源

The album mostly contains views and portraits from Burma, including Rangoon, Bassein and Mandalay. The views of India include Bombay, Calcutta, Andaman Islands, Madras, and scenes from the visit of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught in Bombay in 1921. There are also photographs of the British Royal Navy ship, HMS Highflyer, that sailed from Plymouth, October 1919 to Colombo, April 1921. The inserted ephemera includes a table of the travel dates and times of the HMS Highflyer, and also the results of football matches played by the crew. HMS Highflyer became flagship of the East Indies Station after the First World War, and was sold for scrap in 1921.
