16 photographs on 13 mounts, mostly albumen prints (from 100 x 145mm. to 155 x 202mm., or the reverse), mounted on thick card, recto only, some mounts with "B.W. Caney, Photo, Durban" on mounts, all captioned in English on mounts, minor fading, some soiling to mounts

Benjamin William Caney (1842-1918) was an owner of a jewellery shop in Durban, South Africa. He was an prolific photographer of Zulu in Natal and Zululand, and worked mostly at the end of the 19th-century.
