A VERY RARE HIJAZ RAILWAY POSTER ADVERTISING THE PILGRIMAGE TO MEDINA, on the occasion of the Mi’raj of the Prophet on 27th Rajab. The pilgrimage was arranged by the shipping company Österreischischer Lloyd in conjunction with the Hijaz Railway Company. The pilgrims would travel from Alexandria to Haifa on 15th June 1914, where the pilgrims would transfer to a train, and thence to Medina.
