Condition

Overall very good condition. The shade with approximately 14 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. Two of the glass tiles along the bottom border display hairline cracks with some small and minor associated losses to the glass (these hairlines are both stable). The shade with some extremely light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The etched bronze overlays on the interior and exterior are in very good condition and provide a wonderfully impressionistic and artistic effect. The shade leading, base and hardware all display a complementary metallic golden brown patina, reinforcing that all of these components originated together since the period. he base with a few minor scattered light surface scratches, gentle rubbing to the patina at the high points of the feet, and light and minor scattered discolorations consistent with age and use. The patinated surfaces of the base display a textured mottled finish, giving a strong sense of tactility to the lamp. All of the sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. The finial appears to be original to the lamp and displays gentle surface wear and rubbing. When viewed firsthand the poppy blossoms display with even more vibrant shades of garnet red and magenta. An outstanding, highly artistic glass selection for the model.
