Condition

Overall very good condition. This shade depicts both red and green grapes on different sides of the shade in an array of colors from pale yellow-green to deep indigo, cobalt, aqua and amethyst. The shade with approximately 8 cracks dispersed throughout which have been recently sensitively stabilized by a professional glass conservator. The shade leading in around a few of the leaf tiles show some subtle variation and these tiles were likely replaced at some point in the history of the piece, however the glass all appears quite complimentary. The shade crown is finely cast and presents with scattered surface scratches, abrasions, minor wear and some occasional discolorations. With later replaced socket cluster, chains and ceiling canopy. This chandelier is offered together with a second set of six original chains which, when configured with this shade, would require the socket cluster rod to be shortened. A stunning example of the shade model with a rich and well-varied glass selection.
