Condition

Overall very good condition. When viewed firsthand, the shade displays with an elegant and subdued sea-foam green color palette with warm golden hues and is slightly less saturated as compared to the printed catalogue illustrations. The favrile glass is vigorously mottled throughout, imparting the shade with strong visual depth and movement. The shade with approximately 15-20 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some extremely light surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The base is in excellent condition and displays an exceptionally rich brown and green patina with occasional minor surface scratches, abrasions, light surface soiling and traces of oxidation to the recessed contours of the design, consistent with age and gentle handling. With the original base switch. The outer socket casings all appear original and undisturbed, with replaced internal componentry and switches. WIth a later replaced finial with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. A stunning example of the model displaying a very elegant and sophisticated glass selection. The shade and base pairing are highly complementary, imparting the lamp with graceful proportions and lines.
